Called Indian or Salai incense. It is considered of lower quality than the Carterii and much less than the Sacra. But let's not consider its quality in itself, let's look at its aroma and how it can be used in our compositions. It is an aroma that is closer to the aroma of young recina of Scots pine than to the recina of olibanum. Expansive and slightly citric (fresh lime) with reminiscences of very volatile juniper. Slightly spicy (white pepper). We could say that it is a more Mediterranean than oriental incense.
