    I don't think there are any words to describe the smell of civet. It's certainly strong, and even when diluted, it's very potent. I'd describe it as a very animalistic smell—somewhere between urine and feces—and something I'd call a sexual secretion, but in any case, it's not at all horrible; it's disconcerting and very, very interesting.
