Dióxido de titanio (TiO₂)

Descripción:
Colorante blanco de uso cosmético, ideal para la elaboración de jabones de aceite en proceso en frío (Cold Process), maquillaje y otros productos cosméticos. Aporta un tono blanco opaco y cubriente, y mejora el aspecto visual de las formulaciones.

Usos en cosmética y jabonería

Jabones artesanales (proceso en frío o caliente)

  • Se utiliza como pigmento blanco para obtener jabones más luminosos y cubrir el color natural de los aceites.

  • Mejora la definición en jabones decorativos o con diseños tipo swirl.

  • Se añade disuelto en un poco de agua destilada o glicerina antes de incorporarlo a la traza para evitar grumos.

Maquillaje

  • Actúa como agente cubriente, ayudando a disimular imperfecciones y uniformar el tono de la piel.

  • Se usa en bases de maquillaje, polvos compactos, sombras y correctores.

Protector solar

  • Funciona como filtro físico, reflejando y dispersando la radiación UV.

  • Para obtener un factor de protección solar (FPS) aproximado de 30, se recomienda añadir alrededor del 20% de dióxido de titanio en la fórmula final.
    (La protección real dependerá del tipo de base y de la homogeneidad de la dispersión del pigmento.)
